This writ petition seeks a direction to the respondent to grant patta in his name based on his application dated 10.05.2023, relating to the house site in Survey Number.36/2B1A2B1A1C.

2. The petitioner seeks the indulgence of this Court to direct the respondent to grant patta in his name as per his application dated 10.05.2023. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the submission of the application, no action has been taken by the authorities. Aggrieved by this inaction, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner's application will be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

4. In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 10.05.2023 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate 2/4

orders in compliance with Sections 9 and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Survey and Boundaries Act, 1923, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the event of any rival claim, the parties shall approach the competent civil court. No costs.
