ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.03.2023 and representation dated 19.04.2023, submitted in respect of the house site property comprised in Survey No.36/2B1A2B1A1C, measuring 2.75 cents, situated in Melamadai 2nd Bit Village, Seeman Nagar, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District, and to issue Patta in favour of the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

According to the petitioner, she submitted an application dated 23.03.2023 and a representation dated 19.04.2023 requesting issuance of Patta in respect of the house site property in Survey No.36/2B1A2B1A1C, Melamadai 2nd Bit Village, Seeman Nagar, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District. Despite repeated submissions, no action has been taken by the respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2023, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision. There shall be no order as to costs.
