Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to release the crop insurance amount of the petitioner, as requested by the petitioner in his representation to the first respondent dated 27.07.2019. ORDER

Seeking compensation for crop loss, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2.When the writ petition is taken up for hearing today, learned Counsel for the second respondent / Insurance Company submitted that the compensation amount has been duly credited in the account of the Central Co-operative Bank, Ramanathapuram District, the nodal agency for the crop insurance scheme.

3.In view of the above submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the fifth respondent to collect the compensation amount from the concerned Central Co-operative Bank, Ramanathapuram District and to ensure that the eligible compensation amount is disbursed to this petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
