ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to instruct the second respondent to conduct the speedy investigation in Crime No.3 of 2021, for the offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 357, 498A, 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, pending on the file of the second respondent and to file final report.

2.The petitioner is the defacto complainant in Crime No.31 of 2019, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 357, 498(A), 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act 1961 pending on the file of the second respondent. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of six months, there is no progress in the investigation. 3.When a question is posed to the learned counsel for the petitioner that whether there is possibility for settlement, for which, he would submit that physical harassment was made upon the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

It is also seen that the matter has been referred to Conciliation proceedings by the respondent thrice. Even on three times, the accused person did not appear.

4.In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation and file final report within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by following the procedure set out for dealing with the matrimonial issues.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
