ORDER
This petition has been filed to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.1064 of 2017 registered by the first respondent police for offence under Sections 294(b) and 506(i) I.P.C, as against the petitioner.
2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petition is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Without any base, the first respondent police registered a case in Crime No.1064 of 2017 for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
Crl.O.P.(MD)No.1981 of 2018 offence under Section 294(b) and 506(i) IPC, as against the petitioner. Hence he prayed to quash the same. 3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) would submit that the investigation is almost completed and the respondent police have only to file final report.
4. Heard Mr.J.Jeyakumaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Suyambulinga Bharathi, learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent and Mr.E.Marees Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.
5.Considering the fact that the investigation is almost over, this Court cannot quash the First Information Report at this stage. However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
