Prayer: Writ Petition - filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to reissue the passport to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application dated 02.01.2019 within stipulated time fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The prayer in this writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to re-issue the passport to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's application dated 02.01.2019 within stipulated time fixed by this Court.
2.Heard Mr.M.Mohan Gandhi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Kathirvelu, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India assisted by Mr.Prabhu, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
3.The petitioner, in order to re-issue the passport of the petitioner in Passport No.M1155091, had given an application on 02.01.2019 and thereafter, had given a representation on 03.08.2019. Therefore, considering the said representation, if the respondent decide the application dated 02.01.2019, within a time frame, on merits, the petitioner would be satisfied.

W.P.(MD)No.18172 of 2019 4.I have heard the learned Assistant Solicitor General of India appearing for the respondent, who would submit that, the said application along with the recent representation dated 03.08.2019 would be considered by the respondent office on merits and in accordance with law and final order to that effect would be passed, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court. 5.Having regard to the said submission made by both sides, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, with the consent of both the parties, at the stage of admission itself, with the following direction:
"The respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.08.2019 along with the application of the petitioner dated 02.01.2019 for re-issuance of passport on merits and in accordance with law and pass final orders thereon, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
