The offences are alleged to have taken police within Madurai City limits. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioners in support of his contention, relied on a decision of this Court in Crl.OP.(MD) Nos.10526 of 2014 etc., batch dated 09.10.2014. 4.Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side). 5.In view of the settled position that the Tamil Nadu City Police Act has not been extended to Corporation areas, the proceedings in Crime No.1567 of 2017 dated 30.12.2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police, K.Pudur Police Station, Madurai. stand quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
