This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in S.T.C.No.1028 of 2017 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, No.VI, Madurai.

2.The petitioners are accused of commission of offence under Sections 8 and 9 of the Tamiul Nadu Gaming Act. The offences are alleged to have taken place within Madurai City limits. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioners in support of his contention, relied on a decision of this Court in Crl.OP.(MD) Nos.10526 of 2014 etc., batch dated 09.10.2014. 4.Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side). 5.In view of the settled position that the Tamil Nadu Gaming Act has not been extended to Corporation areas, the proceedings in S.T.C.No.1028 of 2017 pending on the file of the learned Judicial https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
