PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take necessary action upon the petitioner's representation dated 26.06.2023 which is still pending before the respondents without any progress. This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to dispose of a representation given by the petitioner dated 26.06.2023. 1/4

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that an amount of Rs.15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs only) belonging to the villagers kept in a locker in a savadi, was committed theft by unknown persons belonging to the rival group of the village, on which, a complaint was given to the Police on 13.04.2023, but, no action has been taken, therefore, sought for suitable directions.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) on the other hand submits that the details about the alleged theft and the amount lost was not given to the person, who maintained the account. It is also submitted that the rival group to the petitioner has also filed one more complaint against the petitioner, which was also registered as C.S.R.No.472 of 2023 and the same is also being enquired into in respect of the other issues.

In view of the rival contentions, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent Police and submit all relevant documents to the concerned Police, on which, the respondent Police are directed to complete the enquiry in C.S.R.No.477 of 2023 dated 26.06.2023 given by the petitioner to the respondent Police within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
