Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate steps to rectify the mistakes occurred in S.No.468/30 and change the records in the temple name in respect of Sri. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.05.2023.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner has given a representation dated 13.05.2023 to rectify the mistakes occurred in S.No.468/30 and change the records in the temple name in respect of Sri. Muthumariyamman temple. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 13.05.2023 will be disposed of by the respondent within a period of 4 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.05.2023 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
