ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation in proper manner in Crime No.31 of 2019 pending on the file of the respondent and file final report before the Judicial Magistrate, Devakottai, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner's son is the defacto complainant in Crime No.31 of 2019, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 467, 468 & 420 IPC against four persons. Now, the grievance of the petitioner is that even after lapse of 2 1⁄2 years, no progress has been made and final report has not yet been filed.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that 15 witnesses have been examined so far. Further, he would seek five months time to final report.

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.14959 of 2021 4.In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file final report within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After filing of the final report, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry of this Court. 5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
