[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] It is the case of the petitioner that his wife Ramya, aged 24 years and daughter Jeysika, aged 3 years, went missing from 28.06.2022 and that police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 2.On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Somanathapuram Police Station crime No.45/2022 has been registered for 'woman and girl missing' and that the investigation is in progress.
3. In such view of the matter, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Karaikudi Sub Division to monitor the investigation that is being conducted by the Inspector of Police in Somanathapuram Police Station Crime No.45/2022 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any, and as and when the detenues are secured, they may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Karaikudi, Sivagangai District, under intimation to the
petitioner and the learned Magistrate may pass appropriate orders with regard to custody.
