O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents Police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members.

2. It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that the respondent No.3 has applied for house site in respect of the land belonging to the petitioner and when the petitioner has questioned the same, the third respondent has threatened the petitioner not to enter into the land belonging to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner stated to have given complaints on 04.07.2023 and 07.07.2023. However, no action has been taken so far by the respondents Police.

3. The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents Police submits that the representations of the petitioner are pending and the respondents Police have given C.S.R.No.440 of 2023 in respect of the representation given by the petitioner on 2/5

07.07.2023. It is further submitted that the respondents Police will complete the investigation within a period of two weeks.

Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondents, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents Police to complete the enquiry in respect of a request made by the petitioner on 04.07.2023 and 07.07.2023 for providing police protection within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 17.07.2023 NCC :
