ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking direction to the third respondent to provide police protection on the basis of the representation dated 05.07.2021. 1/3
2.The case of the petitioner is that he is State Deputy Secretary of Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK) and the private respondents are also the members of the said political party. According to the petitioner, the private respondents made preparation to assault the petitioner, in respect of which, two CSRs have been registered in 329 of 2021 and 541 of 2021 and investigation is still pending. Pending the above said enquiry, the representation has been made seeking police protection. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that because of the inter party members of the political party, 107 Cr.P.C proceedings has been initiated by RDO, Pattukkottai and the petitioner has also executed a bond before the concerned authority.
4.The petitioner himself has executed a bond for keeping peace, question of granting police protection to the petitioner does not arise, since it is inter political party dispute. There is no life threat to the petitioner as on date at the hands of the private respondents herein.
5.In view of the above, I find no merits in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
