This petition has been filed to quash the the First Information Report in crime No.423 of 2017 dated 16.12.2017 on the file of the 1st respondent for offences under Sections 147, 447 of I.P.C. and Section 3(1) of TNPPDL Act as illegal as against the petitioners.

2.The learned Government Advocate (criminal side) would submit that in this case, the respondent police completed the investigation and filed the final report before the concerned Judicial Magistrate and hence, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

CRL.O.P (MD) No.3853 of 2018 dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is dismissed. However, the petitoner is at liberty to challenge the final report filed by the 1st respondent.
