O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking compassionate appointment by considering his representations dated 26.02.2001 and 04.01.2016.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father died on 30.06.1996, while he was in service. After the death of the petitioner's father, his mother approached the third respondent seeking for compassionate appointment for which the third respondent informed that the petitioner being a minor, aged about 16 years, she shall apply for compassionate appointment after the petitioner becomes a major. Thereafter, on 15.07.1998, the petitioner along with his mother approached the third respondent with all necessary papers seeking compassionate appointment for which the third respondent informed that he shall forward the same to the second respondent for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

necessary action. In this regard, the petitioner has sent representations dated 26.02.2001 and 04.01.2016. Till date, there is no response for the same. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court with the instant writ petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representations would be considered on merits.

4. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 26.02.2001 and 04.01.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
