O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking compassionate appointment by considering his representation dated 29.12.2015.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's father died on 07.04.2007 in an accident, while he was in service. After the demise of the petitioner's father, the petitioner approached the respondent by way of a representation dated 29.12.2015 seeking compassionate appointment, for which the respondent informed that only after the completion of the pending MCOP case, the petitioner's request shall be considered for compassionate appointment. Till date, the respondent has not considered the representation of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing this writ petition.

3. The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent

would submit that the petitioner's representation would be considered on merits.

4. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for by the petitioner in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.12.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
