ORDER

This writ petition has been filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to release the petitioner's lorry bearing Registration No.TN76 K6507 taken by the second respondent on 03.02.2016 to the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner, her husband is doing construction business, for which, on 26.12.2015, in the Tipper Lorry bearing Registration No.TN 76-K-6507 sand was transported, but the same was seized by the fourth respondent Police, without any authority.

3. Today when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, has produced the order passed by Revenue Divisional Officer, Tenkasi in A3/43/2016, dated 25.02.2016, wherein final order has been passed imposing fine of Rs.25,715/-.

4. In view of the same, this Writ Petition is closed. However, it is open to the petitioner either to pay the fine amount without prejudice to his rights and contentions and get the vehicle released or to file an appeal before the appellate authority, if he is so aggrieved.
