ORDER

Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation, dated 16.02.2016 seeking appointment to the petitioner as Cook in conformity with G.O.Ms.No.21 Adi-Dravidar & Tribal Welfare Department, dated 16.03.2000.

The case of the petitioner is that the second respondent vide news published in Dhinathandi Daily Newspaper on 04.02.2016 informed that there are 35 vacancies of Cook in the second respondent Office and the eligible persons may apply there for. Accordingly, the petitioner submitted an application before the second respondent, on 08.02.2016, for the above said vacancies and she has participated the interview, which was held on 10.02.2016. But the second respondent appointed another person, who registered her name in the Employment Exchange after the petitioner's registration and she is the junior most person. Therefore, the petitioner made a representations before the respondents on 13.02.2016 and 16.02.2016. The same are said to be still pending.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.02.2016, based on the G.O.Ms.No.21 Adi-Dravidar & Tribal Welfare Department, dated 16.03.2000 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
