PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to forbear the respondents 1 and 3 to 5 from constructing community hall or any other structure in the land in Survey No.373/1A, to an extent of 1.73 Acres, situate in Batlagundu Village, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District and consequently to restrain the respondents 1 and 3 to 5 from disturbing the possession and functioning of the Government Kallar Student Hostel, Batlagundu in the above said land by considering the petitioner's representations dated 15.04.2025 and 25.06.2025 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to forbear respondents 1 and 3 to 5 from constructing community hall in Government land. These all are the Government Schemes being implemented by taking an administrative decision, which cannot be 2/4

subjected to judicial review in a writ proceedings under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

2. Since the nature of relief sought is relatable to policy decision of the Government, this Writ Petition is not maintainable and the same stands dismissed accordingly. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
