Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to conduct enquiry and cancel the entries in the Patta No.833 which were entered as Town Survey Nos.19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 pertaining to the land in S.No.597/10 situated at Sevvalur Village, Manapparai Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District and revert back to its original position which stands in the name of the petitioner's grandfather Mr.Thomai within a stipulated time period to be fixed by this Court. Heard both sides.

2.The writ prayer has been erroneously couched. On going through the representations given by the petitioner, it appears that the petitioner's grievance is in respect of the alleged error that took place during UDR. The petitioner is permitted to give a proper representation before the District Revenue Officer, Trichirappalli. On receipt thereof, the District Revenue Officer, Tiruchirappalli shall conduct enquiry and

give a disposal and pass final order within a period of twelve weeks thereafter. All the interested persons shall be put on notice and due process of law shall be adhere to. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

3.This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
