This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Aravakurichi, Karur District to dispose the proceedings in C.C No. 34 of 2022, within a stipulated time limit.

2.The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the incident had taken place in the year 2021 and the final report has been filed in the year 2022 and the same was also taken on file in C.C.No.34 of 2022 by the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Aravakurichi, Karur District. He further submits that the case is still pending for the past two years, since the defacto complainant has not appeared before the trial Court for reporting evidence in C.C.No.34 of 2022. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instruction from the respondent police submits that the defacto complainant is living in Mumbai. He further submits that the case is posted for appearance of L.W.1 to L.W.5 on 12.08.2024.

4.Since summons have already been issued to the witnesses, it is the responsibility of the police officers to produce the witnesses before the trial Court. In this case, it appears that the L.W.1 itself is not examined so far. Therefore, the respondent police and trial Court shall take necessary steps to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible.
