ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to grand free house site patta by considering their application dated 06.11.2023.
2. According to the petitioners, they are all landless poor persons residing in rental houses. They have submitted an application before the first respondent on 06.11.2023, seeking issuance of free house site patta. The said application has been forwarded to the fourth respondent by the first respondent. However till date, the request of the petitioner has not been considered. Hence the petitioners have come before this Court.
3. Learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents would submit in the affidavit filed in support of the writ
petition, the petitioners have mentioned out survey No.2073 and sought for issuance of free house site patta in respect of the said land. However, as per the Town Survey Register, the above said survey number is registered in the name of Madurai Corporation.
4. The petitioners are not entitled to seek that they should be issued free house site patta in particular survey number. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioner for issuance of free house site patta in respect of any other poromboke land available at the disposal of the Government, subject to the eligibility of the petitioner and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
