PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records relating to the impugned order issued by the 1st respondent State Information Commissioner in Order No.SA 2424 / D / 2019 dt.27/06/2019 and quash the same.

The petitioner School has filed this writ petition as against the order passed by the Tamil Nadu Information Commission, Chennai/the first respondent, directing the petitioner School to furnish certain informations sought for by the fifth respondent.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the fifth respondent has submitted an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005, claiming certain details with regard to the recognition of the 2/6

petitioner School as Corporate Management by the Government. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that this petitioner School has not been considered for the Corporate Management that this Institution is a minority Institution and the same was also communicated by a letter in (2D) No.37/D1/2009, dated 23.07.2009. This letter has also been furnished to the petitioner and also enclosed along with the typed set of papers. However, the petitioner has approached the Information Commission and the Information Commission without ascertaining as to whether this information has been furnished to the fifth respondent or not has once again passed this impugned order dated 27/06/2019, directing the petitioner School to furnish the details to the fifth respondent. 3.This Court considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also perused the materials placed on record.

4.Since the information sought for by the fifth respondent has already been furnished to him by the petitioner School, this writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. 11.10.2023 NCC: Yes/No Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes vrn 4/6
