O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent to provide free house site pattas to the members of the petitioner's association in Survey No.31/3, Vandiyur Village, Madurai District.

2. The petitioner states that he is the President of an unregistered association called "Dr.Ambedkar Makkal Nala Sangam". According to the petitioner, there is a vacant Government land in Survey No.31/3 of an extent of 65 cents. It is asserted that the said land has not been utilized and remains as vacant land. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 03.07.2021 seeking allotment of free house site pattas to the members of the association in the said land.

3. Mr.K.S.Selva Ganesan, learned counsel for the State, accepts notice on behalf of both the respondents. On instructions, he states that the land bearing Survey No.31/3 was divided into 174 plots and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.18074 of 2021 the said plots were alienated at a specific rate to the purchasers thereof. Therefore, he submits that the contention of the petitioner that the land is available is incorrect. Without prejudice, he states that the petitioner's representation may be directed to be considered and disposed of.

4. Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.07.2021 and dispose of the same by a reasoned communication within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
