ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition challenging the impugned order of the first respondent dated 29.04.2024, in proceedings No.RC.No.A-40/NGB III(1)/60/2024, rejection of request of the petitioner to transfer her to Theni District.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The petitioner was appointed as a Police Constable in the Tamilnadu Police Service in the year 1997 and she is presently working 2/6

as Women Head Constable in Dindigul District. The petitioner's request for transfer to her native place at Theni District has been rejected by way of the impugned order dated 29.04.2024 stating that the petitioner did not complete one year of service and her request for transfer to Theni District is kept in waiting list at Sl.No.502 and her request will be considered by the transfer committee and the postings will be issued during her turn. Challenging the same, this writ petition has been filed.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the the petitioner has completed three years of service in the earlier station and it is very difficult for her to travel for two hours from her hometown in Theni District to Dindigul District. In this regard, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents seeking transfer to Theni District and the same was rejected through the impugned order. Challenging the same, this writ petition been filed.

6. The petitioner is a woman constable and she is also facing difficulty. It is also seen from the impugned order that the petitioner did not complete one year of service and her request for transfer to Theni 3/6

District is kept in waiting list at Sl.No.502 and her request will be considered by the transfer committee and the postings will be issued on her turn.

7. In the result, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, it is for the respondents to consider the claim made by the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 31.07.2024 NCC: Yes/No Index : Yes/No sm 4/6
