This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents not to harass the petitioner and her husband under the guise of monitoring or surveillance.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the husband of the petitioner was involved in many criminal cases before the year of 2010 and history sheet was also opened against him, but after their marriage, got a female child, he is not involved in any other criminal case. Moreover, he has faced the trial for some of the cases and also acquitted from the cases. Now they shifted their residence to Pudukottai District and leading a peaceful life. On the basis of the past record of this petitioner, the third respondent frequently visited their house and harassed them under the guise of surveillance as well as monitoring even during night hours through cell phone as well as by direct visit.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor totally three cases are pending against the petitioner's husband and out of three two cases have been completed and ended in acquittal. One case is alone pending against him. Since the petitioner's husband is a history sheeted rowdy, only for the purpose of surveillance, visit has been made to the house of the petitioner. Except that there is no harassment to them.
4.Since the history sheet is still pending against the petitioner's husband, it is the third respondent's duty to make enquiry and kept the husband of the petitioner under surveillance and monitoring. If any trouble arises, the petitioner shall workout their remedy through appropriate proceedings. I find absolutely no merits in this petition.
5.With the above liberty this criminal original petition stands dismissed. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the police officials are knocking the door at the night hours also. It may not be proper on the part of the police officials to visit houses during night hours.
