Respondent/Complainant PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar District to expedite the trial and conclude the trial of the criminal case in C.C.No.117/2018 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi within a time limit stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar District to expedite the trial process in C.C.No.117 of 2018 and complete the same within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.The petitioner is the 1st accused in Crime No.302 of 2014, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 120(b), 465 and 471 of IPC and the same has been taken cognizance in CC.No.117 of 2018 by the concerned Court on 05.02.2018. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he is an accused in the aforesaid crime, even after a lapse of 3 years, no progress has been made in the trial.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the matter has been posted to 13.10.2021 for the purpose of examining P.W1. 4.Considering the oldness of the crime and case, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar District to expedite the trial in C.C.No.117 of 2018 and dispose of the same within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
