ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the second respondent to provide police protection on the basis of the representation made by the petitioner on 21.09.2021. 2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner married one Esakkiammal on 02.07.2001. Thereafter, misunderstanding arose between them. After divorce, he married one Geethan. The third respondent, who is the maternal uncle of the above said Esakiammal demanded money on behalf of the said Esakiammal. He made frequent trouble and he criminally intimidated and assaulted, based on which, a case in Crime No.164 of 2021 has been registered against the third respondent and others, for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 441, 294(b), 324, 427 and 506(ii) IPC. Even after registration of the case, continuous trouble and threat has been made. Hence, the petitioner gave representation, which is kept https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that because of the dispute between the two wives of a man, trouble arose, upon which, a case was also registered and the representation sent by the petitioner is pending. 4.Since a case has been registered based on the representation of the petitioner, granting police protection does not arise. Since no life threat exists, I find no merits in this petition and this petition is liable to be dismissed and accordingly it is dismissed.
