ORDER

The present petition has been filed by the petitioner/5th accused in CC No.715 of 2025 on the file of the Additional Mahila Court, Theni seeking to quash the charge sheet, wherein, the petitioner is charged with the offences punishable under Sections 85, 296(b), 115(2), 351(2) of BNS and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act. 2.Perusal of the charge sheet reveals that the petitioner along with A1 are said to have harassed the defacto complainant. 3.According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner is no way connected with the matrimonial dispute between A1 and the defacto complainant.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the material records.

5.As could be seen from the charge sheet, there are specific overt act have been alleged as against the petitioner herein and in such circumstances, this Court does not find any reason to quash the chargesheet, especially when there are no legally acceptable grounds.

6.Considering the fact that the petitioner is a lady, her personal appearance shall be dispensed with by the trial Court unless specifically directed to appear before the trial Court. In view of the delibrations, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
