Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to take appropriate action to restore the drinking water connection to nearby the petitioner's house facilitate the petitioner to take drinking water under Manur Combined Water supply scheme of Thamirabarani based upon the representation made by the petitioner on 11.01.2016. For petitioner : Mr.K.K.Kannan For Respondents : Mr.M.Rajarajan Government Advocate COMMON ORDER The petitioners seek for a Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to take appropriate action to restore the drinking water connection to them under Manur Combined Water supply scheme of Thamirabarani based upon the representation made by them on 12.10.2015 and 11.01.2016 respectively.
2. Mr.M.Rajarajan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.
3. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
4. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioners are disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue involved, the 1st respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 12.10.2015 and 11.01.2016 respectively on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the parties or any objectors, if any, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
