O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner and her family members for residing in their house in Door No.2/530 North Street, Baburajapuram, Tanjavur District on the basis of her representation dated 10.11.2020 in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner and her family members were attacked by the 3rd respondent herein and based on the complaints of the petitioner's mother and brother, FIR in Crime Nos.545 of 2020, 1111 of 2020 and 1115 of 2020 were registered against the 3rd respondent and another. Even then, the 3rd respondent and his family members attempted to attack the petitioner and her family members. Therefore, the petitioner made a detailed representation on 10.11.2020 to the respondent/police to give police protection to her and her family members. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor(Crl.side) 1/3

appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's complaint has been received and FIR in Crime No.1111 of 2020 has been registered against the 3rd respondent and accused persons, for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294 (b), 324, 355 and 506(ii) IPC and the 3rd respondent was arrested and remanded on 21.10.2020.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 &2. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to the 3rd respondents is not necessary.

5. Though the learned Additional Public Prosecutor had stated that pursuant to the case in Crime No.1111 of 2020, for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 324, 355 and 506(ii) IPC, the 3rd respondent was arrested and remanded on 21.10.2020, since the petitioner apprehends danger to her life and her family members, the respondent/police are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.11.2020 and give police protection, if necessary, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

6.With the above direction, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
