ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.776 of 2017 on the file of the 1st respondent, as against the petitioner.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Without any base, the first respondent police registered a case in Crime No.776 of 2017 for the offence under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC, as against the petitioner. Hence he prayed to quash the same.

3. Heard both sides.

4.It is seen from the First Information Report there are specific averments to attract the offences as against the petitioner, this Court cannot quash the First Information Report at this stage. However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.901 of 2018 5.With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
