ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and police protection to conduct the Kidavettu Pooja and "Sami Alazhippu" on 05.08.2024 and 12.08.2024 at Pattuperiyankovil and Madayakarupparkovil situated at Arasanthampatti Village, Peraiyur, Pudukkottai District on the basis of the writ petitioner's representation dated 18.07.2024.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that there was law and order issue when the temple festival was conducted in 2022 and last year, there was no such festival.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner would submit that the writ petitioner may be permitted to offer his Kidavettu in Sri Pattuperiyan Temple along with his family members only, totalling 15 members.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that they are not having any objections, if the writ petitioner is permitted to offer his Kidavettu along with his family members, totalling 15 members on 12.08.2024 without creating any law and order issue and subject to the condition to be imposed by the second respondent.
5. Considering the above, the writ petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the second respondent seeking permission with the above condition and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the same and pass orders, imposing the necessary conditions.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
