ORDER
This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to give necessary police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner by considering his representation dated 01.12.2020 within a time frame. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that due to civil dispute the petitioner lodged a complaint and a case was also registered in crime No.778 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 427 and 506(ii) IPC. Even thereafter, the private respondents herein threatened the petitioner with dire consequences and abused him in filthy language. Hence, the petitioner preferred a representation dated 01.12.2020 seeking police protection. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner filed the present petition.
3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents, on instructions, would submit that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
Crl.O.P.(MD)No.14949 of 2020 second respondent police, after receiving the representation of the petitioner, initiated an enquiry in C.S.R.No.674 of 2020, dated 15.12.2020 and the same is pending.
4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submission of the learned counsel, this Court directs the official respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.12.2020 and take suitable action, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
