ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court that the respondent Police is harassing him under the guise of enquiry.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that it is only a surveillance and they are not harassing the petitioner. According to the learned Government Advocate, the petitioner is an accused in a murder case and the petitioner was convicted by the Sessions Court.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the murder case has ended in acquittal and the petitioner got acquittal in the appellate court. He further submits that the murder case was registered on the file of the Kumbakonam Town Police Station and the police officials of Swamimalai Police Station, who have nothing to do with the criminal case and without any reasons, are harassing the petitioner unnecessarily.

4. It appears that there is no case pending against the petitioner. The respondent Police is not justified in disturbing the petitioner under the guise of surveillance.
