ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur to dispose of the case in C.C.No.40 of 2014, within a time frame.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made a complaint against one S.Venkatesan before the respondent police in the year 2012 and the same has been registered in crime No.34 of 2012 for the offence under Sections 406, 465, 467 & 420 IPC. The respondent police, after completion of investigation, filed charge sheet in C.C.No.40 of 2014 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur. He would further submit that even though the charge sheet filed in the year 2014, there is no progress in the trial. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition seeking the aforesaid relief. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that the case in C.C.No.40 of 2014 is pending from the year 2014, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Thanjavur to complete the trial in C.C.No.40 of 2014 and dispose of the same, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
