ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ on hand has been instituted to prevent the illegal extraction of groundwater for commercial purposes. 2/5

2.The Government has now issued guidelines to regulate and prevent such illegal extraction of groundwater. 3.As per the guidelines, a licence is to be obtained for the extraction of groundwater for commercial purposes. 4.In view of the above guidelines, in the event of any such illegal extraction of groundwater for commercial purposes, the petitioner is at liberty to give a complaint to the competent authority, who in turn, shall bound to initiate appropriate action in accordance with law. 5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
