ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to approve the appointment of S.G.Helen as B.T Assistant in History from the date of her initial appointment i.e., from 01.06.2022 by converting the post of Secondary Grade Teacher and to pay arrears of salary and all attendant service and monetary benefits consequent to the same
2. Heard Mr.S.C.Herold Singh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Siddharthan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4. The petitioner-school has appointed one S.G.Helen, as B.T Assistant History on 01.06.2022 in the then existed vacancy due to the retirement of one incumbent Francis Savier. The proposal was sent for approval to the third respondent, did not revoke any response so far. 3/6
5. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the Teacher has been appointed only as against the sanctioned post and hence, the proposal is sent to get the approval, but the third respondent is withholding the same without any reason.
6. In view of the same, this writ petition is disposed of and the third respondent is directed to consider the proposal sent by the petitioner and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
