Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 17.08.2019 which relating to grant police protection to the Krishna Jeyanthi festival at Shri Thamburatti Amman Temple, Seeninathapuram, Periyakulam Post kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, on 23.08.2019 and 24.08.2019 within stipulated time may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to grant permission and Police protection to conduct the Krishna Jeyanthi festival in Shri Thamburatti Amman Temple, Seeninathapuram, Periyakulam Post kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, on 23.08.2019 and 24.08.2019. 2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the villagers have proposed to conduct Krishna Jeyanthi festival in Shri Thamburatti Amman Temple, Seeninathapuram, Periyakulam Post, Kadaladi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, for which, the petitioner made a representation before the second respondent seeking permission and Police protection, so far no order has been passed by the second respondent Police, in the said circumstances, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

respondents, on instructions, submitted that, now the second respondent Police is willing to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.08.2019, if the petitioner undertakes not to use loud speaker during night time.

4. In response to the same, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will approach the second respondent and give an undertaking that he will not use the loud speakers during the night time.

5. Considering the above circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.08.2019 and grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Krishna Jeyanthi festival by imposing necessary conditions to maintain law and order.
