Mr.R.Anandaraj, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to regularize his service from the date of his initial appointment and grant monetary and other attendant benefits.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed in the respondent department on compassionate ground vide proceedings of the Chief Engineer, Department of Highways, Chennai, dated 29.09.2008. But, his service was not regularized till date. In this regard, he has sent several representations to the respondents. As there was no response, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed the representation of the petitioner, which was forwarded by the Minister for Health, Chennai on 12.08.2015 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
