PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.02.2019 and 27.05.2019 and thereby appoint the petitioner in the post of Lab Assistant under the PWD Quota in Ramanathapuram District.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks for appointment as Lab Assistant under the Persons with Disability Quota in the selection process conducted, pursuant to the notification issued by the first respondent dated 22.04.2015. 2.In the counter affidavit filed by the respondents, it is stated that the petitioner was permitted to participate in the competitive examination and he had scored 83 marks. He claims GT/M/PWD category and he was placed 7th rank in the seniority of GT/M/PWD category. Since there were two vacancies for the category of GT/M/PWD, his candidature was not considered. 3.Since the petitioner herein had not come into the zone of consideration for selection, the prayer seeking for appointment cannot be considered. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 18.08.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No sm 2/4
