ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the records the impugned proceedings of the 2nd respondent in refusal check slip in RFL/Melapalayam/36/2025 dated 21.05.2025 and further, to direct the 2nd respondent to entertain the settlement deed dated 21.05.2025 for registration and consequently, to direct the 2nd respondent to register and release the same.

2.Through the impugned order, the respondents have stated that Survey No.1/8 is arasu purambokku and the petitioner is seeking to register along with other survey numbers. Therefore, it is a fraudulent document as far as the Survey No.1/8 which is classified as water body. Now, the petitioner is seeking to register the other survey numbers and has not stated Survey No.1/8 at all.

3. On perusing the parent document, it is seen that Survey No.1/8 is not there. Further, the petitioner is not transferring the said Survey No.1/8. Hence, the impugned order is quashed and the respondents are directed to register the settlement deed as per law within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is allowed. There shall be no order as to costs.
