To punish the Contemnor for his wanton and willful disobedience of the order passed by this Honourable Court in W.P(MD).No.17499 of 2020 dated 08.01.2021.

PRAYER in W.P(MD).No.17499 of 2020 : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 5th respondent to admit the petitioner in B.Tech., Naval Architecture Course under the ST Category on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.11.2020 on Indian Constitution Law Article 21 not to be violate and otherwise the petitioner would be put to irreparable loss the petitioner's studies and grave hardship.

ORDER : This petition coming up for orders on this day, upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.A.GEORGE STEPHEN, Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.R.RAGAVENDRAN, Government Advocate on behalf of the Respondent, the court made the following order:- The petitioner's grievance is regarding the issuance of Community Certificate in his favour. His request was rejected by the Revenue Divisional Officer. The petitioner filed an appeal before the District Collector. The District Collector was directed to dispose of the petitioner's appeal. SUB A(MD) No.314 of 2021 was not complied with, the petitioner filed this contempt petition before this Court.

2. This Court indicated that the District Collector has to comply with the direction given by this Court. Accordingly the District Collector passed an order dated 17.09.2021 rejecting the petitioner's request.

3. It is for the petitioner to question the order before the Hon'ble Division Bench. The question of reopening the contempt petition does not arise at all.
