ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 21.07.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 I.P.C, in crime No.142 of 2024 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused borrowed 1/3
a loan for sum of Rs.37,27,500/- from the defacto complainant and thereafter, cheated him. Hence, the complaint.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner is in judicial custody from 21.07.2024, hence he may be released on bail.
4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner had cheated the defacto complainant for a sum of Rs.37,27,500/-. Apart from that amount, the petitioner and other accused cheated a sum of Rupees Twenty Crores all over the State. The allegation against the petitioner is serious and the investigation is pending, hence, he strongly opposed to grant bail.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
6. Hence, this Petition is dismissed.
