Heard Mr.S.Vijayakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Shanmugavel, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
2. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking to direct the first respondent to regularize his service from 01.07.1998 on par with his Junior Cooks and grant service benefits and arrears of monetary benefits to him.
3. The petitioner who has been appointed on consolidated pay on 30.11.1994 has been regularized with effect from 01.03.2002. The grievances of the petitioner is that the persons who are juniors to him have been regularized with effect from 01.07.1998. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation to the first respondent claiming parity and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petition. 2/5
4. Since the petitioner's representation dated 14.12.2019 is yet to be considered, I feel it is appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner within a time frame.
5. In view of the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of and the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.12.2019 on merits and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
