Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Declaration, declaring the final key answer to Question Nos.51 and 131 in the Written Examination Question Booklet "A" Series for Departmental Recruitment for the posts Sub-Inspector of Police [Taluk, Armed Reserve (Men and Women/Transgender) and Tamil Nadu Special Police (Men)]-2019 as wrong and consequently to direct the respondent to award 1⁄2 mark for each of the petitioner's answer to the Question Nos.51 and 131 in addition to the total marks already awarded to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court.

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM,J.) The Writ of Declaration has been instituted to declare the final key answer to Question Nos.51 and 131 in the written examination Question Booklet "A" Series for departmental recruitment for the posts Sub-Inspector of Police [Taluk, Armed Reserve (Men and Women/Transgender) and Tamil Nadu Special Police (Men)]-2019 as wrong and consequently, to direct the respondent to award 1⁄2 mark for each of the petitioner's answer to Question Nos.51 and 131 in addition to the total marks already awarded to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent made a submission that Question Nos.51 and 131 were not referred to One Man Commission appointed by this Court in other Writ

Petitions. Therefore, these two questions were independently verified by the Department through their experts. Accordingly, regarding Question No.51, the right answer is "(A)". However, the writ petitioner marked as "(D)". So also the Question No.131, the right answer is "(D)", but the petitioner marked as "(C)". Therefore, the petitioner is not entitled for additional marks in respect of Question Nos.51 and 131.

3. Since there is no possibility of additional marks, the petitioner is not entitled for the relief as such sought for in the Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed. (S.M.S.,J.)
