ORDER
Alleging wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD).No.6370 of 2023 dated 24.03.2023, the Contempt Petition has been filed.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent has considered the petitioner's claim and has granted Rs.44,972/- (Rupees Forty Four Thousand and Nine Hundred and Seventy Two only).
3. This Court vide order dated 24.03.2023 in W.P.(MD).No.6370 of 2023, has directed the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders within a period of eight weeks. Since the respondent complied with the order of this Court, there is no contempt as alleged.
4. However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the respondent has delayed in considering and granting the medical reimbursement. In case, the respondent has granted the amount at the earliest, then the petitioner would not have approached this Court by way of filing this 2/4
Contempt Petition. But, the petitioner claims to disburse the amount to the tune of Rs.1,02,008/-. The petitioner contended that the respondent has disbursed only Rs.44,972/-, which is a meagre amount. With this meagre amount, he could not bear his medical expenses.
5. Therefore, the respondent is advised to settle the amount at the earliest without any delay, in future.
6. Hence, this Contempt Petition is closed.
