ORDER

Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned counsel takes notice for the respondent.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of his appeal, dated 11.09.2015, within a stipulated time.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he is working as Driver in the respondent corporation. He was imposed with the punishment of increment cut with cumulative effect for six months vide proceedings of the respondent corporation, dated 30.09.2011. The charge against the petitioner is that he was negligent in driving, which resulted in damage to the bus, a two wheeler and to the two wheeler rider. Against which, the petitioner preferred an appeal to the respondent on 11.09.2015. The same is said to be still pending. Hence the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer made in this Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, dated 11.09.2015 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
