ORDER : The petition coming on for hearing on this day, upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 15.12.2020 and the requisition letter of the Sessions Judge, Special Court for exclusive trial cases under Pocso Act, Srivilliputhur, vide letter in D.No. 873/2021, dated 04/10/2021 and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.M.MURUGESAN, Advocate for the Petitioner and of Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondent, this court made the following order:

Today, this case is listed under the caption "Extension of Time for Trial Court".

2.It is evident from the records that this Court vide order dated 15.12.2020, has directed the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Srivilliputtur, to dispose of the proceedings in S.C.No.76 of 2020 within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Srivilliputtur, has submitted a letter dated 04.10.2021, stating that as per the direction of Honourable High Court the urgent cases were listed and the restricted functioning of Subordinate Courts in the State of Tamil Nadu advocates in this case were not turned up for hearing to conduct the case, due to which the case was unable to dispose within the time and he seeks further three(3) months time for disposal of the said case. 3.Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to extend the time sought for.
